Olympia’s Valley Estate, Petaluma California

Jimmy and Lexi were set to have a warm Spring Wedding at Olympia’s Valley Estate, in Petaluma California.
One October afternoon, Lexi called me and asked if there was ANY chance I would be available to shoot their Wedding next month (November!!)….luckily they picked the day before I was leaving town for vacation, so of course I said yes! 
Jimmy and Lexi found out they were expecting their first child, so all their Wedding plans had changed! 
The outlook for their Wedding was clouds and some sunshine, but as the days got closer, we slowly realized, it was probably going to rain. Nothing could stop the excitement, however of this monumental day. Not only were we going to celebrate their love, but the big day was now going to consist of a gender reveal surprise being orchestrated by Lexi’s sister as well! 
Finally the day arrived and the afternoon was beautiful! We had sunshine, and partly cloudly skies. As the day progressed, we could tell however, the rain was right on schedule! Right before the ceremony started, it started downpouring! You can find in photos belows, pictures of myself holding an umbrella for Lexi as we ran from the cottage to the barn (laugh). 
And that moment kicked off the most beautiful winter celebration. 
It was an emotionally packed day filled with so much fun and laughter. 
And the gender reveal moment was probably one of the sweetest things Ive ever witnessed at a Wedding. Typically only the parents first dances make me tear up, but man this one got me. 
And from that moment there was cheers-ing all night to the couple and celebrating their soon to be son. 
Because we didn’t have time to set up an Engagement photoshoot before the big day, I offered them a Maternity Photoshoot for 2024, and I couldnt be more excited!
